Some have problems w/ the shock hardware backong out. That was mainly 05s I think though.

If it's got a 5th Element there's a chance it'll need to be re-valved for the Sunday's low leverage ratio.

That's all I really know of, they seem like really solid frames.

The biggest weak point of my 06 Ironhorse Sunday Elite, is ME!!! I crashed in both my race runs at the cal state dh champs. But then this past sunday, I beat my class by 18 seconds at a local dh race sponsored by FFAT.biz and NoFriends.com. I've yet to bash my BB, and my rear suspension is FULLY active!

1. Paint chips really easily
2. Due to low BB can clip pedals relatively easily, make sure you run 165 mm cranks

3. Not a plow bike if thats what youre looking for
4. adding air pressure to shock is a bit of a pain, so is accessing the bottom shock pin

So far thats all i can say about mine,
great bike, once you start pushing it to the limit is when you feel how great it rides.

1. paint, if you look at it wrong it will fall off
2. 165 cranks. I personally bent a pair of cranks already and the rest of my team mates with sundays have bashed theres super hard
3. Hardware, 2 of us of 05 3 have 06's and all but 1 of us have had hardware issues. If you get one make sure to do the seat pull test and see fi there is any play. IF you find some call tom at ironhorse and make sure to get the right hardware
4. Cable Routing. Not that this is an issue per say but you do have to get creative and need to get some clear tubing to protect your der cable
5. accessing the adjusments on the shock are pretty darn hard. Get a ball headed hex set.

All in all the Sunday is a great bike. I love mine and will def be getting it anodized over the winter

there is an exhaust vent that leads straight to the main reactor. if you fire a thermal torpedo straight down the shaft, you can disable it completely.

I haven't ridden one yet... but I have noticed that the paint ships pretty easily. As far as how the bike feels - it feels like it's made JUST FOR YOU. That's how comfy the geometry is.

BB is scary low, but that just means an adjustment in riding style.

The paint used is horrible.

Bearing removal and installation is a pain. The six mechanical PhD's on staff used the term "lame" after inspecting the fasterners used in the bottom of the shock housing.

Simply an awesome bike! You will not be disappointed!! ;)

kidwoo:
I think the style is called "go fast in corners"
...REALLY?... dude THAT"S what I've been doing wrong - I always stop at every corner.

...around here in the northeast its ridiculously rocky, so leaning and loading the suspension in corners can get a little sketchy if you are new to the Sunday and its race-oriented geo.

Have you ever measured the BB on your Demo?
Mine is 14.0 and the Sunday is 13.9. :bomb:
Both 8 inch travel bikes.
I am in need of a 36t guide.:)

Dude you're going to have to adjust your riding style.

Sounds like you east coast guys have what's it called?..........rocks (sp?)???

I'm not sure what all that means but you should probably just ride through corners instead of stopping before them. Seems to be an east coast thing.

Actually the BB on my Demo 8 is 14.2", but that might be because of the stanchion height in my fork crowns.
