I was at the USC commencement ceremony today. They awarded honorary degrees to a few folk, story here:

USC President C. L. Max Nikias made the following statement during his speech acknowledging the Nisei: (Paraphrased, I didn't record it!) "...whose studies were interrupted by the tragic events of World War 2."
Really, Max? Care to explain the regrettable loss of Jewish population in Warsaw during the forties?
