I want to put a 4" fork on my 2000 FSR XC. I could have a very good deal on a 2001 X-Vert Super (169 USD). What do you think about that?

Should I go for it or stay away from this fork? (Give me reasons why please...)

I'm not racing and I use my FSR for any type of riding. XC, urban, a little DH, ... I currently own an SX-R that isn't strong enough for what I'm doing. I want to sell it while it is still in very good shape.

Thanks a lot...

ive only demo'd one but from what i could tell it was a very plush ride. didn't get to really test flex but from what little i rode it was stiff. at that price its well worth it!

that fork is IMHO the best 2001 fork for a trailbike, its really smooth good to great rigidity, has lots of adjustment as extermely reliable, plus i guess 100mm travel will balance the bike very well if you dont plan on racing it.
170 for that fork is definitely worth it,
