Transported a convicted Murderer from a hospital to a Jail medical ward today

armed officer on board and in the back of the ambulance and an armed escort in another vehicle. It was very creepy going through all the remote operated steel doors into the bowels of the facility. The cell, :eek:I will never do anything that would get me to end up in anything like that, Bare concrete with a toilet and a sink

we were very very happy to clear the outer perimeter fence and return to the outside world

Did you have any guys come up to you and say "I'm lookin' for a new punk" like Clint Eastwood did in Escape from Alcatraz?

Friend of mine worked in death row for New York. It is not a pleasant workplace.

I don't think anywhere in New York would be a pleasant work place. :D
The first prison he was assigned to was Sing-Sing. That wasn't fun for him.

The best prison to work at is a medium security at Mt McGregor. It was also the last home for Ulysses S. Grant, and they give tours of the place.

He ended up at Albion, a woman's medium security near his house.

I did 9 days in Los Angeles and Orange County jails for a CLERICAL ERROR on a traffic ticket.

Sometimes you don't have to do anything to wind up in jail.

Just a happy thought for the day. :p

And yeah, jail sucks in ways you just can't understand unless you've been there.

A friend of mine works in a county jail. Big dude, into the whole ultimate fighting spiel. We came off a mtb ride up in the lower Adirondacks only to find my car window smashed in and stuff stolen. My 'jailer' friend (as he liked to be called) said to me, "I wish we could have run across the punks while they were doing this so I could relieve a little work stress!!!" At that moment, I think he turned into the Incredible Hulk.

I am glad I am not incarcerated and am the potential recipient of the aforementioned 'work stress'

They shouldn't be sensory deprivation tanks either if there is to be any claim to rehabilitate or reintroduce to society. Most of our current domestic prison system demonstrates our loss of moral compass as much as Abu Gharaib did.
They killed some one. They can sleep on the EF'n floor and think about it.

I think what he means is that they claim that isolation is "rehabilitation", when in fact its just punishment through and through (not saying it isn't justified in certain situations).
