I'm a serious jazz player (sax and flute, but classical flute is my main gig and my planned college major) and huge fan, of course.

I'm thinking I might go check out Terence Blanchard; Jazz Alley sure has some awesome shows coming this fall.

terence blanchard is probably my favorite jazz trumpet player. he's got chops and plays very thoughtful solos. i'll be there at the jazz alley, not sure of the day yet...

oh yeah, music-type people, come see nw mahler festival do mahler 2: tuesday, 8 pm, meany hall (uw campus). i'll be there, playing 2nd (trumpet) in the barber, 6th onstage/3rd off stage in the mahler.
