I think we are planning to donate some school furniture. Not that they need it right now.

And it's things like this that sicken me more than anything....

"Several residents said they had heard of children being raped, though it was not clear whether anyone reported such incidents to the authorities, and no officials could be found who could confirm the accounts.

Darcel Monroe, 21, a bakery cashier, stammered hysterically as she recounted seeing two young girls being raped in one of the women's bathrooms. "A lot of people saw it but they were afraid to do anything," she said. "He ran out past all of us." "

To take advantage of such an awful situation, and then for no one to help!!!! :( :( :(

Ugh...this just came in through our Communications Liason...how sad :(

The following message is being forwarded to answer points from the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (OES) in case you receive a call from the public about how to get assistance.

State OES has learned that trapped victims on the Gulf Coast are calling family, friends, loved-ones, or anyone they can get a call out to California asking for someone to rescue them. These requests need to go immediately to the US Coast Guard's Rescue Line at 800-323-7233 and immediate assistance will be sent.

Please distribute this information as widely as possible.

Thank you.
