Here's the Goodship GDR ready for her voyage from Canada to Mexico. Really pleased with the gear setup and the KM has been bulletproof....

Now there's just the matter of pedaling 2500 miles....

i was working at the LBS and a woman came in coming from ottawa
to mexico. i fixxed her casette and put a new rack on her back.

inspireing. she had ridder 25k in her life! all over brazil and SA.

when I was doing Texas4000, we came to Cuba, NM when 3 riders from Europe were passing through on the GDT. we shared stories and food that night. good stuff. a few weeks later, we met a guy that was riding from Venezuela to Alaska.

anywho, good luck, man.

another guy touring from chile to NYC came into
my shop in his SS bike with no front hub bearings left.
he had ridden that donkey for 40 miles like that!

i got him some balls and he was off to catch the rest of his group
on OKC that left him behind.

I caught this post a bit late, but I'm interested in some specific of your setup. My wife and I are planning to do the Montana section of the Divide trail next summer and I'm trying to get my KM set up. So, What are you using for:

1. Seat bag
2. Map case
3. Handlebar bag
4. Seatpost
5. Bar ends

And, is there anything you would do differently.
