I'm not sure that is an issue after the way they got dropped today. Lance doesn't look nearly as vulnerable as last year.
Anyone else notice Hincapie on the first climb of the day? Like Sherwin and Ligget were saying, he's turned into a first class stud, especially after all the work he's done on the flats.
I think it would have been a real tough fight if Lance had battled him for ity... the thing is lance is best on LONG uphill climbs... he can hold steady pace that is far faster than what others can hold for long periods of time...
I think Basso May have been exactly the type of person Lance said yesterday would take the stage, "an explosive climber that will be able to sit on the wheels all day then explode up the last climb", and thats exactly what happened.
