This is what you want
:thumb: Husquvarna sells a similar "residential" version for about $3000. I want one... Big benefit? Patterns are much easier! :D

Definitely get the rider. My g/f has about a 1/2 acre to mow and it takes longer than you think even with a tractor. My own lawn is much smaller but I have a powered push mower and it takes longer to mow my lawn - despite the fact we bag her clippings and I just side-eject mine.

You'll want a weed-wacker as well. Spring for the more expensive model. Cheap tools are a PITA, no matter how much $ you save. :mumble:

We also have a gas-powered edger that makes short work of edging the flower beds and such.

Looking at your driveway, thinking about a snow blower yet? ;)

You would have no difficulty maneuvering a 20" mower with no self-propulsion on a relatively flat lot.

what he said -

I've been mowing lawns for 20 plus years, I'm telling ya self propelled push mowers suck

So here's the P.O.S. that we are going to replace. It sucks. But hey, it came with the house, so I'm not complaining.

If anyone feels like posting their mower pic here, go right ahead. :D

Well we bought a Honda Harmony II. Its a single blade push mower (no self propelling). No bells, no whistles, no bag. Just a good solid mower that will cut the grass. :)

The wife is mowing the lawn right now while I'm at work.

I've decided, mowing sucks.
Yes it does. Especially when it's a beautiful day and you can't ride because you haven't mowed the grass in 6 days and if you let it go one more day the township will fine you (varies from town to town, but many townships have a 12" high limit in residential areas)... So you mow the grass hoping you can ride the next day... then it rains and you can't ride... which of course makes the grass grow even faster... it's a never ending loop...

Difference between grass and weeds? Nothing, really. Grass is just the weed you want... (opening up all kinds of drug references here... )
