I'm going to a skills camp in April and I need to bring a pair of leg and arm pads. It'll be my first set and I don't know where to begin. Any suggestions on a good brand? Or things to look for when shopping?

I certainly am NO expert since I'm an xc weenie. But, I'm in the market for a pair and have tried a few on. Here is what I've learned I want: The arm ones...I want something that stay up and doesn't slide down, with minimal arm warmer like coverage. I tried on some small rockgardns and my arms were too slender for them and they wouldn't stay up. I've tried some on that are like full sleeves with pads on the outside. I can imagine those getting REALLY hot and uncomfortable. On the other hand, I don't want the straps to dig into my flesh and cut up my arm. Same goes with the leg ones. One pair I tried on had straps that dug into the back of my leg and chaffed badly. Another paid moved to much on my knee and wore a scap into my kneecap. SIGH - I WILL FIND THE PERFECT PAIR!
