Any grinding/filing of the granny tabs required?

Or . . . any other opinions on The Hive Single crank and LG-1+?

Thanks!

I am trying to install the same and having issues. I have a 73mm BB and shimano says to not run any spacers which is weird. I cant get the LG1+ to line up , it seems I need to add a spacer behind the drive side cup to get it where I need to be

Hi guys,
For the M970, you should have ONE 2.5mm BB spacer on the driveside (or ISCG adapter plate, or dual ring BB mount backplate if applicable). This is standard of all Shimano MTB cranks.

All cranksets with granny ring tabs will need them removed to fit the backplate properly. This is true of all of our single ring guides, as we utilize the space to increase backplate strength. If you have access to a machine shop, many should be able to mill down the tabs 1-2mm, so that the threads are still usable.

Our single ring XC crankset will work just fine. If you have the dual ring model, you would have to remove the granny tabs.
