Fill flash is using your flash to front light back lit subjects, unless you wanted a silhouette shot.

Well, Dahlia has somehow managed to survive nine months of having Orven and I as parents 
Emily got her first "real" bike...Haro X16 girls. she absolutely loves it and, much to my surprise, it's not horribly huge for her either:
