Tons of slalom and downhill photos tomorrow. Spent all evening fighting with a 16gb SD card that didn't want to copy, it's finally importing and I am exhausted. Stay tuned, sorry for the delay!

thats what everyone from 2nd place down saysbut I'm guessing that, as usual, the big guns were in cruise control for this one. Bring on Maribor!!
Do you mean how the past three years, everybody in the top 10 save brian lopes is also a regular top 10 contender and the guys winning/top 5 are all regular winners/top 5 contenders?Props to the winners, but I'm guessing that, as usual, the big guns were in cruise control for this one. Bring on Maribor!!
Making sure his ACL injury is sorted for maribor probably.Where was Sam in all this DS madness?
Can we start "Like"-ing posts? This is a great example.I just have to have a quick reply, again abut the 4X Vs DS topic as mentioned earlier. While I love Slalom, nothing brought home the fact to me, that the top DH guys will NEVER do slalom at World cup level if it was brought back, as after 10 race runs yesterday, between Gwinny and Myslelf, we both woke up today with legs that felt like concrete blocks. No person who is serious about winning a DH world cup is going to waste energy on DS. Thats just how it is.
4X is its own deal and its gaining momentum, If the courses get rad and push the riders it has potential to be super sick. DS wont be a world cup discipline, get over it!
Sometimes I wonder if the if-there's-slalom-there-will-be-DH-racers crowd has ever raced a full 10 rounds on a proper track. Hill won Sea Otter last year and promptly said his legs were shot. At some tracks like Ste Anne the top DH guys only take 3 practice runs some days to save their legs for racing, you think they're going to race slalom? Not if its held before DH they won't.I just have to have a quick reply, again abut the 4X Vs DS topic as mentioned earlier. Ridiculous.
Hey Luiz I agree, much prefer the DS than the 4X, I do like 4x too but if had to choose the DS it would be, bu the guess 4X give the WC crew more exposure to different riders or different skills, I dunno be cool if time and money would allow both, maybe not realistic. As I posted at Vitalmtb, dual slalom has to return to WC events.
I really don't undestand the funny of a race(4X) that is decided at first corner.
Vantages of dual slalom:
The spectators can see the entire race.
Mostly races are head to head.
The return of classic downhill riders. (and not all that bmx specialist riders that are in 4X events nowadays.)
im sure 20 guys w/ no shirts on wasnt a distraction for himAnd, here it is kids: how to corner with half naked people cheering you on with Jared Graves.
the girl in her bra was also pulling it off on a pretty regular basis! He didn't look too distracted though.im sure 20 guys w/ no shirts on wasnt a distraction for him
