I'm in need of a new chain for my training bike. The bike is equipped with 105 and performance, and weight, aren't big issues. I'm looking for a tough, long lasting chain.....any recommendations?
How much stretch are you going to pull on a trainer? The chain should last as long as the cogs. As far as chains go - I've never had a bad one. Wipperman is a good chain.

training bike, not trainer bike That means this bike sees hell. I've had some crappy chains before, I was wondering if there is a good chain that will last longer than a standard Shimano chain.
I've got about 15K on my current chain & cog set - the Wipperman chain was recently cleaned and measured - not stretch or reason to replace either. The Campy 10 chain required a special chain tool which I was unwilling to buy, the Chorus cog has worked beautifully with the Wipperman chain, very smooth shifting.
Regular old Shimano Ultegra chain has been on my bike for thousands and thousands of miles with no problems or wear. Mind your chainline and do a little maintenance and I don't see any chain on a road bike not lasting a very long time.
