Looking for a 1.5 to 1.125 HS adapter, specifically one that will allow me to use a zero stack headset. Is there anything like this around? Or are there any1.5 to 1.125 adapters that are cut such that you can run a traditional headset where you can set it farther up into the HT?

Frame is a traditional HS insert HT 1.125 upper, 1.5 lower, and I will be running a 1.125 steertube fork.

Thanks.

I read your requirements, but what frame is this for?

Cane Creek makes everything. They sell tapered headsets in separate pieces now so you can purchase what you need for your lower set-up. This fit-finder may give you an answer, but it's been glitchy for me in the past.

If you already have a headset that's 1.5 on the bottom, you can simply buy a different crown race from them that fits inside the 1.5 sized bearing...

Correct, give Cane Creek a call. I just picked up a "XXc Flush" lower cup assembly directly from them (flush 1.5" cup for use with 1.125" fork). I think the specs are a 3mm or so stack height.

New yeti 575 with 1.125 top, 1.5 bottom. I want to keep my 160mm fork, while maintaining my geometry built around a 150 with a King. So I am trying to put in as short (and light) of a lower cup so that I can put the 160 fork on it.

Does anyone still sell the e.13 cup? I can't find it on the website.

Remember, because of the increased surface area you don't need as much cup depth as a 1.125" headtube. Save weight, but more importantly optimize strength with something with the depth of the CaneCreek headsets.

Definately burl. This thing will outlast any frame it's installed in, then be a major pain to get out... :D

I remember holding one of these in my hand and thinking it was the weight of 3 Cane Creeks...
Haha. Yeah, lower cup is tool steel. Because of that, though, they're not as hard to get ou as you might think - - tap right out with a long drift punch. Installing is a bear, though; they fight you the last 5mm or so.

Oh, deleted my post (before I saw your quote) as irrelevant, since OP was talking tapered HT anyway - - which I evidently missed .

not a problem I have. Fox are streamlined. Worst case, I eat $60 and lower my fork travel.
