I'm planning a road trip in which we will be hitting Redwoods Nat Park and driving to LA with many stops in between. Most of the route will be 101 with some 1.

I'm looking for some quick (1-2hr) rides that are intermediate level. Singletrack is all I'm really interested in.

If anybody has any good trails or other suggestions of places I must go, I'd appreciate them.

Thanks.

Wilder Ranch in Santa Cruz for sure.

There is a SP near San Louis Obispo and Morro Bay with good costal trails I hear. Anyone know the name?

NORCAL is the hizzle
Marin has great coastal trails but not much legal singletrack. Park in Mill Valley, ride to the West Point Inn on Tam, down over into Muir Woods, then down to the Pelican Inn for a beer before dragging your ass home via Green Gulch and the headlands. Longer than 2 hours for most of us, but a great ride. You could make it shorter and less painful if you get someone to drop you at the base of Tam and then meet you at the Pelican Inn.

Thanks for those, I will look into them further.

Maybe I should clarify: By coastal I meant not on the Nevada side.
Anything about 30min off of 101 will be doable.

So far I have Prairie Creek SP just north of Redwoods and Lake Sonoma.
