Lots of thorns in my new area. Need options.

I just moved into a new area where "goathead" thorns are very common. I have Specialized Armadillo tires on my bike but I have 7 other bikes belonging to my wife and kids and Armadillos just aren't cost effective when you need them for 7 bikes.

The bike sizes in our stable hit every kids bike size.

I absolutely love my Armadillos but I don't know what options are available in all tire sizes for an economical price. I've used Slime tubes in the past with mediocre results.

I had a bad goat head infestation a couple years back, after a very wet winter. Slime tubes are my best cost effective solution...other than a patch kit. I pulled 64 thorns out of a brand new Weirwolf one day...

I just take an old tube- one that the thorns already destroyed, make sure the thorns are out of it, and line the tire with it. then place a new tire inside. that created enough barrier that the thorns didn't penetrate all the way through to the new tube.
