Totally curious who suffers bad lower back pain the day after riding?

Everyone, old people, young, whipper snappers, who?
Do you think it is worse on days you lift your bike into trucks?
Or ride xc?
Or ride Dh?
Or days you do more jumping?

What do you think it is exactly?

Anyone with any advice?

If you are in general good health/physical conditioning, you need to work on your abs. Which in turn will relieve the stress on your lowerback.

If you have a history of back problems and your are in good physical condition, see your doctor.

*edit, here's my $.02 on lifting/lowerback pain

If you drop something, don't bend over to pick it up. Squat down and pick it up.

If whatever you're lifting feels too heavy to lift over your head, get help from a friend. You can be macho all you want, but it will catch up with you later on when you body gets older.

Start a light stretching routine before you goto bed. This will also help you fall asleep faster.

This is coming from my 4 1/2 years active duty in the U.S. Marines. I got honorably discharged at the "tender" age of 24 and my body feels like it's around 30 years old. I'm still in great shape, but things on my body that didn't hurt when I was 19 hurt now at 25.
