So you like it but think the bb is too low? Was it only me or did the 1st m6 come with team dropouts that made the bb even lower (around 13 inches).

Norbar: I love how low the BB is on my m6 but it can be limiting at times. Currently my BB height is 13.4" with the "m6" dropouts (they made 3 different versions of dropouts.) That is with 2.5" DHF's, 721 rims, fox 40 with the crowns set at 8.7" and a Cane Creek XXCII flush headset.
I also have another set of dropouts which puts the BB height at 14." To be honest I can feel only a marginal different in the cornering of the bike with 14” BB. Yes the bike does feel a little taller but it still rails corners hard.
I have been on the M6 since it's inception to the market (2 years ago) and it is the best handling DH bike I have ever ridden. With the Hyper adjustable Geo of the M9 there should be no reason you couldn't get the BB height around 13.9." According to Mr. Steber himself the measurements on the M9 were with a Marz 888 and the G3 in the middle setting. With the lower A/C height of a Fox or espically a Boxxer, the G3 in the slackest setting and a .5* Cane Creek Inset head cup it should be easy to achieve a sub 14" BB.

DW is correct that the 14.5 number is based on the new 888 (585mm AC) that the team runs and with all the adjustments & different AC heights on forks you can easily obtain lower BB heights. This bike has been in development for two World Cup seasons with the CRC Intense team and all the current production geo and new suspension kinematics come directly from racing feedback on real WC tracks around the world.We did go a bit higher on the default BB height based on what the racers wanted.We will be publishing a more involved geo chart when our new web site launches that will show the many combos & numbers & you can always run this frame in the default middle settings and it is pretty standard proven dH geo.

Interesting to see a race bike over 14 with a 64 ha. Turner, Pivot and Specialized are all going sub 14 on the BB height.

What travel setting are you going to use, 9.5"? I am almost certain you will need two different spring rates if you plan to run the 8.5" and the 9.5" settings.

Whatever, since you are self proclaimed VPP master why don'y you explain it to me?

I am hoping the M9 is different then the V-10 in the fact that you don't have to run a ton of sag.

Ian, we will not press cups in, just supply customer with the AngleSet (all 3 different top cups too!) and we do face headtubes before shipping.

We got our east coast gnar certification back in July with our northeast test riders, they approved..they also gave 2 thumbs up on the BB height saying "anything lower and you'd be screwed".
