Ha. See how they quote a Canadian and a US price? Not what I'd call a smokin' deal. That new Knolly 5.5" bike looks sweet. But that's made in Canuckistan and you don't want to support your nation.
i will buy the bike for you for a profit of $100Ha. See how they quote a Canadian and a US price? Not what I'd call a smokin' deal.

I could be wrong (as I often am), but SC is "assembled" and/or "designed" in the USA.yeti....and Santa Cruz i think
SC is super close to having most of their frames built overseas now. They recently decided to move one of the Blur models overseas, don't remember which one though.yeti....and Santa Cruz i think
can we get a little more travel please? I dont think thats enough for an xc race bike even. The only XC bike you will ever need...
Does Trek still make any frames in the USA?<snip>
USA made and 2K? Trek maybe?
I thought that the upper end Treks were US built? Maybe I'm recollecting wrong.Does Trek still make any frames in the USA?
I think you are right about the upper level treks. I remember seeing a show on Travel or HGTV or some crap called "Made in the USA" and they did a thing on Trek carbon road frames. I think it was fairly recent.I thought that the upper end Treks were US built? Maybe I'm recollecting wrong.
Only SC's currently being made in US are V-10, VP Free and Nomad. All others are overseas (taiwan)
Maybe the carbon Fuels and such? But good luck getting any of those for $2K.I thought that the upper end Treks were US built?
i believe u are right, from what i heard; half of the yeti 303 is made here in the USA and the rest is overseas. i could be wrong thoughI thought yeti started farming out a long time ago?? The last time I was at IB (2002ish?) they were talking about how the asx among other frames were overseas produced. maybe I'm just not remembering that correctly.
Basically. So real answer might be...find a bike that fits, fits your budget and is something you want to ride...to heck where it came from.
i have heard that some of the frames are currently being outsourced to devinci.Sinister bikes is a good company...
I thought that what he was doing? From purchasing overseas to US makers, right? What about Transitions?
