Hi,

I am currently trying to replace the bearings on my 2007 majin. Do I just tap them out? or do they need a special press?
Ive been try to tap them out for sometime now but they wont budge.(Ive already removed the c-clips)

Thanks.

When i remove frame bearings i just use a socket thats larger than the bearing (so sits on the frame) then use a long bolt and nut and a couple of washers, tighten the bolt and the bearing will be pressed out into the socket.

IMO i would rather press something in/out than resort to hitting it - i have done quite a few bearing changes now using this method and never had a problem.

As the frame and bearing is steel there could be a little corrosion between the two helping to keep that bearing in there.

Use a true bearing press. It'll save damage to the frame, and you'll need it to get the new bearings pressed back into the frame without damaging them.
