Don't know if this has been discussed already - but I see that Klein will be offering a bike next year with the Maverick SC 85-125 mm fork. If this fork performs anything like the current DC version - then I'll be the first in line to get one.

The Maverick SC has been vaporware so far, but I'd count on seeing a ton at Interbike.
Of course it'll cost $1000 and require a new front wheel...

Well the DC fork is 800 so I'd be surprised if the SC was a grand 
It will use a propretary hub though. A new front wheel is a small price to pay for a fork that is far lighter and stiffer than anything else out there....

That fork is sick. If you already have a Maverick DC then the SC is a no brainer. A buddy has one....sick fork.
I'd love to try one out...and being an über-gearwhore match it up with the 24mm gold king front hub...

SC or DC...they are both lustful forks. If you read UK bike mags you've probably seen the SC one many times. I don't think the DC Maverick is the most aesthetically pleasing fork, but hell does it ever work good!!

Similar to the Klein, the singlecrown fork is spec on 2005 Fisher Cakes. Similar to Klein in parent company, and suggestive of the all-important OEM deal that might make Maverick ste up into more active circles.
I saw one of these last night @ Green Mountain Sports - here in denver, pretty sick - $750.00 brand new
I've seen that on the Klein site. A few weeks ago. It;s pretty kewl that they are using that fork now. I hope that they work good. For sure i wanna try one. I have heared from a friend off mine that dc is very smooth, and outperforms other forks in that range.
Looks like Gary Fisher is also offering it on the latest top of the line Cake.
I saw of those forks go for around $600 new on ebay not too long ago...almost bid on it, almost...
I thought the Mav DC fork was special b/c it had no steerer tube. Is it the same with this one?

It shouldn't because it uses the 24mm hub which seems to make a big difference.brake_and_bleed said:

It's got "cups" that go into the headset cups.
