Maxxis to re-label tires to a "true sizing" for 08 (they're actually measuring them)

the thing is that they should make their tires with actual dh measurements...I'm quite conscious that a 2.35 maxxis tire is a...say 1.95?? so there is no need for me to relabel their tires with real numbers...everybody knows that most of the tires run a bit smaller than the measuremet number on the side of the tire and EVERYBODY knows that maxxis tires run MUCH MORE smaller than the number....

If you run anything other than Minion DHF 2.5's front and rear here you get beat up.
that would be soon changing to 2.5 (whoops, 2.4 for 08) cut down wet screams.

Maybe this means they'll be blowing out their old stock of 2.5" and 2.7" tires. Cheap. Stay tuned to the online dealers. Who wants to ride incorrectly sized tires anyway?:disgust1:

...still have to up-scale it to match Kenda. ha. I'm sure the Maxxis 2.6 is the same as the Kenda 2.5.

Personally 2.5" gives me confidence........2.4 leaves me a feeling a bit limp.
Maxxis should should change the model name to "Minion 2point5's" as well. For example "For 2008 Maxxis will offer their Classic Minion DHF tire as the newly updated Minion 2point5 in the following sizes 2.2, 2.4, or 2.6".

Haha this thread sucks so does daylight savings.....
