I just got a new 2.8 DH32 michelin tire on the front. I was running it at 30psi using a tube, I might do tubeless next year, and was running it with sun doublewide rims.
I hit a drainage gulley and the bead blew out on me and then I rode with a section of the bead out for a good 50 feet. It was the second run of the day.
Anyway at the bottom of the mountain I set the bead by hand and then pumped it up and the bead blew out from pumping it up. It seems that now the bead is stretched too much. The tire is done.
Is it the rims that could have caused it?
