Client meetings with the boss in shadow. Have another long call coming up with IT, as my printer accepted my new toner cartridge for 60 pages and wants a new one now.

Hello, muffins! I was up at my usual 5:15 and basically rolled out of bed and onto my bike. Rode 20 miles on the tri bike. It is cool to ride on empty roads so early in the morning instead of the usual evening rush hour clusterfuck that I normally ride in.

Packing and getting my poo in a pile for a 2 conference that kicks off tomorrow. Normally I don’t mind these things but I have 4 staff that report to me, attending as well. I can see it will not be as fun or relaxed. Not on the plus side i do get to skid around some different trails on Saturday morning before I head home.

how many of those on dirt vs. trainer? just curious . . . i only ride dirt and usually average around 500 miles . . . i'm @ 260 right now. probably half mountains, half local.
less than 10% dirt unfortunately. there's a lot of contributing factors here, but i've been hitting the trainer hard because my overall fitness has been really poor the last few years. the ratio of dirt miles is slowly creeping up now with warmer weather.

Dropping off elder kid at Hogwarts camp then riding.

I think RR/DR with doing the Morrison Slide as an extra N->S looplet and trying in vain to recognize all the extra trail features the builders put in.

So before my last vacation, I was told I'd be scheduled 4- 10hr shifts. YAY!!! A scheduled 3-day weekend every week? And during the summer? Thank you!!

Then I find out a couple coworkers bitched that the shift should've been posted, should anyone else be interested and want to consider the shifts. And these maggots didn't even want the shifts! They were just pissed it wasn't posted to begin with! So it gets posted, and yesterday, I find out I was not awarded the shifts, they went to someone that is rather hated by the dealers.

Why am I pissed? Because the manager that made the decision did not have the courtesy to tell me face-to-face. Not getting them doesn't really bother me...... not being told does.

Welcome to big business, right????

Time to feed the dogs and ride to get ready for this Saturday's Truckee Dirt Fondo.

It all works out in the long run...........

Believe, during my drive home, I was/am thinking about that. They are hurting for employees, and being there 20-odd years (with 5wks vacation, I might add), I have the knowledge and experience they need. I figure I have a couple other options to play with.....
fair. to be honest tho, the other employees weren't wrong, that kind of stuff does need to be posted. but it's shitty they pulled it out from under you, and even shittier your boss couldn't man up and tell you to your face.

Spent 11 hours at the court house on a criminal trial case from December of 16. Found her guilty on on one charge, not guilty on the other. She was a 28 year old brew master. Had a bachelor and masters in beer making. Cute as fuck too.

Cat passed last night sometime. She was 17. I haz the sads today. Funny thing was we were gonna have the vet come by this week and do the deed at home. She must have sensed it. She had a good life as my wife’s work from home partner. We are officially a pet free home for the first time in 17 years. Kind of lonely walking in The door this afternoon and not being greeted by a meow or pile of vomit..

On a positive note. Getting ready to leave for CO in a week. Don’t have any real plans other than picking up the sprinter rv in Highland Ranch and taking the bikes toward Salida and Gunnison. Man I need a week off.
