I am wondering if this has to do with the frame. I (as Acadian and I have conversed about a few times) have run 3 different sets of Middleburn cranks, even with a 108mm spindle and haev had no clearance issues with STS and SRS guides. The distance from ring to ring on every crank is basically (should be) the same yes (spider is of same thickness no matter what)? So why would the Middleburn cranks have a problem yet others would not?
When I place the complete arm with bash and chainring, it's impossible to get the alignment ridge flush with the bash.
I did run a SRS with the same BB and Spider on my 01 DHR and can't remember the same issues. Maybe it did't came out perfect, my 02 SRS did't got the alignment ridge.
