My BIL... a VP of an IT company in the Midwest... never uses FB for anything, then out of the blue posts a GoFundMe for his daughter to take a trip to Iceland.

Trip is less that $4K.

He's a VP in IT.

I mean, if he was making *her* raise the $$ I could see perhaps something like this.

:disgust1:
There any higher purpose to this trip that would warrant a GoFundMe?

I will admit, Iceland is pretty cool. But, this seems like a fantastic opportunity for a teachable moment about the value of money.

It is 2017, if you are wealthy you should expect the poors to give you things.

I too await shuffling off this mortal coil. In the meantime I will delight in the suffering it bestows upon me.

Fucked my foot up playing racquetball yesterday. Considering the mode of injury and symptoms I suspect I have a fracture of the fifth metatarsal. Luckily I wasn't looking forward to skiing and snowshoeing this winter.

Current count has one unusable hand and one unusable foot. Luckily I have two of each.
Perhaps we should just duct tape you into a roughly spherical configuration and use you for a beach ball.

First class tickets don't pay for themselves, you know. Also, just wait until he gets his huge tax break, then he can afford to not send her all sorts of places.

I don’t hate Cards Against Humanity.
I do hate people who claim love Cards Against Humanity. Mainly because, they have enough attention to get through 5 minutes of the game before talking over the person reading the cards, then randomly asking what’s happening.

It's a scorching +2c and I'm about to go ride the skinny tire donkey bike. This weather sucks. All the snow is just slush now.

Need moar beer for this.

In hell. Welcome!
More depressed than in the morning. Work's strange and my future next year is in a project that is likely going to be dominated by design by committee, if today's whole day meeting (first of four) is a good indication of things to come. Stage fork is fucked and I need to send the damper assembly in to have the bladder replaced with an ifp. These dark winter days can eat a bag of dicks.

psyched on digging lately and finding little alternate lines for jumpy funness. 5% glad lack of new dropout arriving has forced me to dig...95% :rant:that said dropout apparently arrived in NY last Monday, was due on Thursday, and hs still not arrived. :panic:

It can all stay here. Don't worry.

Though if I do remember correctly, it did snow the week after we left last year. Just sayin'...

The temp will most likely be just warm enough where you sweat a ton, but just cold enough to make stopping and restarting sucky. I'll probably stuff dry clothes in the Pisgah pack since I sweat like a human irrigation system.

For you guys, maybe. I like to think of knee pads as leg warmers with convenient padding.
Oh yeah knee pads...

We pretty much went swimming 30x the one day........before climbing Laurel. It wasn't too bad; the beer and sandwiches definitely helped at the top of Pilot Rock though.

Fuck that, I wouldn't ride Bradley Creek in the summer. I hate riding with wet shoes like no one else.
Thanks for letting us know last time :rofl::rofl:

We rode part of Bradley and whatever the Riverside Trail is called on Trailforks. We literally lost count of the creek crossings after number 35.... We were in full fuckit mode trying to get the hell out of that valley.

I do say though, on the fire road from the end of Bradley Creek up to the start of Laurel, has some AWESOME looking campsites.

Don't look at me, I didn't send you on that route.

A guy I rode with this past summer told me about a route that cuts out some of South Mills and almost completely avoids Bradley Creek.

Always stop at Sycamore Cycles for route info when in doubt. Just ask anyone with a beard and a glazed look in their eyes.
