4 hours of driving on tap for today, as we are headed to central NY for the week. Wondering how the kiddo will tolerate this.

New day. Still busy, but that’s all good. Really need to get a wood project glued up today.
Ditto. Though mine is all trim related. As usual, I'm making things 600% more complicated than they need to be, with multiple layers of trim all congregating at a plinth block. Add to that a 7-piece, contouring transition strip that had to be inset into the plinth and I've got my work cut out for me.

Might be a good excuse to buy a fancy miter gauge.

Mine is 9’ section of a 14’ red oak counter top. I did just buy the longest piece of track Festool makes to rip the long sections. That was stupid expensive.

Oh god. Isn't that like 12' long?!?

I snagged a nice piece of quarter sawn 1x3 red oak for my transition strip, but not sure I wanna burn that on a piece that'll just get trampled.

yeah, a cat 1 rider from ct wrecked, was ambulanced out to a nearby field for an airlift, but unfortunately he passed away. they were considering cancelling the race altogether but resumed after a 2 hour course hold. not sure where it happened on the course, but there were plently of places where things could go wrong...lots of rocky step downs, kinda blind, into rocks, with more similar stepdowns following.

My dog is a grazer with her eating. Every morning it's a chore to get her to eat her breakfast. Today she barely touched it. She'll house those cookies though. She is much better about her dinner.

Wife is in Zurich today. She is headed to some quaint mountain town for a few days starting tomorrow to do some hiking. I did the Google street view for the hotel she booked. *sigh* wtf

Hi ho hi ho. Hi, hoe. I am officially unemployed. I might go for a bike ride.

Attempting to smoke a pork butt for dinner. It’s already going, but the temp got high quick and the charcoal is smoking a buttload, so we’ll see if this doesn’t end in total disaster. I guess there’s always the slow cooker.

Morning Monkeys.

In office today, at least for now. Was told I get 10% of my 20% cut back next paycheck and "should" be back to full salary by end of the year. That would be nice.

The wife is seriously regretting the internal job change. It works out to be like $500 more a month, but she has to go into the office at least twice as much, so the money is almost a wash. She meets with her supervisor today, so hope for the best.

The knee feels great. My hamstring is wicked tight and I'm still a little sore, but no real pain. Pre surgery I was averaging a level 5 pain threshold, this is nice.

My battery was dead this morning. Charger said 0%, got to 35% in 10 minutes and she fired up. Weird. See if she gets me home.
