It's not Minnesota cold, but I didn't move here to be cold, dammit. And my poor cat is freezing.Slightly cold in December?

That’s what made me think of it! (I lived in Tabernash for a season in ‘97, brutal)oh, did you visit my mountain house's neighborhood recently?
The Denver Post (@denverpost) on Threads
As of 6 a.m., the lowest temps in Colorado had been recorded around Tabernash, with measurements of -27 degrees near U.S. 40 at Fraser Flats and -24 in the town itself. Check out other low temps across Colorado on Black Friday cowx https://trib.al/kVn6C7Lwww.threads.net
I mean - it was worse last time. But that's probably not saying much.Fckd?
Badly fckd?
Or ludicrously fckd?
Sounds like you need a backiotomyI mean - it was worse last time. But that's probably not saying much.
I suspect it will result in another adventure under the knife, but we'll see what the spine folks have to say.
Species reassignment surgury, get away from those pesky central nervous systems. Phylum Chordata is bullshit.Sounds like you need a backiotomy

Booooo!!!!Upon closer inspection once I got to work, I discovered what the weird sound coming from my bike is:

I knew it was rusted out and on its last legs, but I thought the BB would go out first... I guess it served me well enough? year-round commuter since 2017. I will definitely spray the inside of whatever new bike I get with Rust Check though...
Booooo!!!!"Disc extrusion at L4/5 impinges on the transiting right L5 nerve and contacts the transiting right S1 nerve roots."
I'm no radiologist like @Toshi, but sounds like i might be fckd (again).
The thing is that a large proportion of asymptomatic people your age have nigh identical disc extrusions at this level or L5-S1 (even more common)."Disc extrusion at L4/5 impinges on the transiting right L5 nerve and contacts the transiting right S1 nerve roots."

At this point I can't stand or sit for more than about 5 minutes, so I'm currently relegated to being prone all the time. Which, if I'm honest, is no way to live. The thing is that a large proportion of asymptomatic people your age have nigh identical disc extrusions at this level or L5-S1 (even more common).
so it may be the problem. Or may not. Try as much PT as you can first imo.
Sounds like an only fans promo.I'm currently relegated to being prone all the time

Have you tried a so-called (i think) epidural for some short term relief? Pretty amazing short term fix for me back in the day.At this point I can't stand or sit for more than about 5 minutes, so I'm currently relegated to being prone all the time. Which, if I'm honest, is no way to live.

I'm about 12y out from my 1st go-round, with similar experience. Until about a week ago.I am also 10 years post back surgery, best fucking thing I ever did. Minimally and invasive out patient procedure. A snip here a snip there. I still have the occasional “back soreness,” but never “living is misery” level pain like before surgery…
Good Lord do I wish this had been a thing the year I got hit.I have supplemental injury insurance that pays me to hurt myself. Ignoring tax implications I will make money on healthcare this year. My out of pocket expenses, including paycheck deductions is about $610, I should get paid $650, $300 for a dislocation, $300 for a fracture and $50 for physical therapy visit. My job does kind of suck, but at least the benefits are good.

On the flip side, I HIGHLY recommend supplemental illness insurance. Cancer paid off the mortgage on the last house, only cost me a testicle.

If my wife didn't have short/long TD we likely would have been royally fucked.I pay for the supplemental illness too. Also short and long term disability. Seems like a no brainer for someone who does their own stunts.
Well, shit! That’s alarming! Not at this point.

Out of the blue, I'm afraid.Well, shit! That’s alarming!
Did your back go to shit again right out of the blue? Or did you do something stupid?
To be fair, you almost certainly did something stupid as well. Just not to your back.Out of the blue, I'm afraid.

DAMMIT. beat me to it.To be fair, you almost certainly did something stupid as well. Just not to your back.
