Just after some cleaning.
I know one of you will ask what's the blue blanket in the background, so I will save you some work. It's Isabelle chilling in the sun (hey I still a little cold in april up here)
I rode some more and I am more impressed with it every time I ride it.
The front disk
I really like the new XTR shifting to my suprise (I still think there was no need to change the triggers). If you use only your middle finger on the brake lever you can use it to push on the lever to shift and you can use the 3 other fingers to push up the lever without moving you hand position one bit. And under heavy braking you can hold the lever with 2 or more fingers and pull it up if you see that there is a big hill coming up. I did not experience undesired shifting under braking but I did not rode tech stuff yet.
The Fox fork is soooo plush but even if I added 3 times more pressure I still find it a little too soft. The 32 mm stansions are soo stiff, I don't notice any flex on heavy braking, it feels great.
The rear ends works better at 175 psi, I found that chain tension locks out the rear pretty well, under heavy pedaling the bike does not bob at all and that is the reason why it sprints so well! on steady fast spinning pace you have to watch your stroke and be carefull of your upper body rocking to avoid bobing.
It is true that the travel seems way more than 100 mm , I did a couple of small drops and I could not tell you when I landed. I can't wait to try this bike in more technical terrain.
now some questions:
How fragile is a carbon post? mine is already very scratched from moving it on the trail. I know I am suppose to wash it before but you can't clean everything when you are playing around with the seat heights on the trails.
