I too am in the exact same dilemma... Rode the Izumu all last year for DH and loved it, now I’m looking for a fun 'mini dh' bike that wont kill me on xc rides. Granted I don’t strap on the spandex when I go out for xc but we do put down some decent miles.

My problem is, as soon as we get to a downhill or find some jumps/gaps etc. on our xc rides I cant resist and my current Enduro is not happy..

I noticed for '08 the Ndiza comes with a beefed up seat tube gusset..Does trail riding still void the warranty even with the beefed up gusset for '08??

Trail riding on Ndiza's is still a no go. Its a specialist 4X bike! And one of the few these days...

If you are looking for a trail rig that can take the punches and be somewhat of a mini DH bike the best suggestion I could make would be the Mbuzi [new for 08].
