Does it have to be a newish release?

Heat, True Romance, Chinatown, There Will Be Blood, Gran Torino, Jarhead, Casino Royale, The Firm, District 9?
True Romance is on my all time favorites list. The note on the fridge. Getting someone to watch it, THEN telling them to go back and find Val Kilmer and Gary Oldman in the movie is fun.

I just went through a bunch of You Tube scenes from Eastbound and Down on YouTube last night. I spent quite a bit of time on weekends in Shelby and I bet those hillbillies cringe at their mention every time.

.
Understand finding Val but Gary Oldman. You would have to not even know who he is not to see him

I have watched Tropic Thunder with 4 different groups of people that didn't believe me when I said at the end: "I think that's the first time I've actually liked Tom Cruise in a movie." They all looked at my like WTF? "he wasn't in the movie." 3 of the 4 times I had to rewind and show them the credits

Yeah - when I saw it the voice was the ONLY thing that clued me in... then I turned to my wife and said "Holy $hit - that's Tom Cruise!"

I saw some movie with Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer in it together. Val was a gay dude that was kinda angry. It was actually a pretty funny movie. Can't remember the name of it though.

I one millionty percent agree. It's almost like you could actually see his real personality in the movie.

http://oracleofbacon.org/index.php may be able to help, it suggested Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. It's funny though, I saw that film, I know I enjoyed it, but can't remember anything about it. Could have been some subliminal amnesia inducing strobe light in it?

Whatever you do don't watch Greenberg (I made that mistake last night).

I was excited cause Ben Stiller usually makes me laugh but by the end I was ready to kill myself. They couldn't even get a hot girl for the nudey scenes. Fail

Thanks for the heads up because I had that one in my line up.

Our most recent watch was "The Losers". Dude that plays Rogue is a badass actor and needs his own lead. Chris Evans, although way overkill, is a favorite actor too for being supremely arrogant in a nerdy way. And the dude from the Apple commercials is in it too, but is given no real acting assignment.

Only 2 negatives I can give it
1. I hate Zoe Saldana...in anything. She's the creamer version of Charlize Theron (who ALMOST ruined "The Road" for me).
2. Sudden impossible motorcycle launching over a not even in the way shipping container.

Oh, and CopOut is a good watch. Nothing spectacular because of Tracey Morgan, but the out there humor was really good and threw me at first. Then I saw the credits and realized it was a Kevin Smith flick and I got it. :D

I enjoyed Cop Out until the end. For me the end did not fit the rest of the movie.

I find a lot of movies have crappy endings lately.

Based on your genre request, I'm guessing Marley and Me, Hatchi-a Dog's Story, or My Sister's Keeper would be out of the line up.

Does the mentioning of these movies mean I've been de-man-ized????
Not a bit! My wife really enjoyed "My Sister's Keeper" and my daughter loved Marley and Me so by default I've watched both. ;)

Triangle.

It's not going to win any awards, but it's a very cool story line.
I looked this movie up on Rotten Tomatoes and it actually had decent reviews so I watched it last night and was very pleasantly surprised with it. Very interesting story line, definitely a mind-fvck. Thanks for the recommendation :thumb:

So I have wanted to see this movie since it came out and for whatever reason hadn't gotten around to it. So Sunday I decided I would watch It's Kind of a Funny Story.

Damn, that was a lot better than I had anticipated. I enjoyed it and will watch it again soon.

13 Assasins. Best movie of the year so far. Probably will be the best. It feels like crack for samourai movie fans but even if you just like action it will be just as addictive.

There Will Be Blood - I don't like movies that take place in the first half of the XX century and I thought I'd be a bit bored by another 2.5hour Paul Anderson movie but it was awesome. Daniel Day Lewis is a great actor.

Troll Hunter - Trolls are real. This movie is really well made sfi/fake paradocumentary about trolls in norway. Lots of fun. Good to see with friends

Rare Exports - Santa is back and he is pissed and evil. A great twist on the fat guy and his elves.

went in with very...very low expectations after the last fast movie, so it wasnt half bad.
I've never made it through the first one, let alone 4 more. Damn.

Plot line for all 5 movies is the same.
Douchebags drive unrealistic ricers in unrealistic conditions to save the world while looking as douche as possible.

How could that NOT be good?

Zombie Strippers with Jenna Jamison and Robert Englund

Dare I say Cashout? Englund is not a good actor, he had one good role that is it. Jenna is neither a good actress not as much of a draw ppl make her to be. Im getting a bit sick of cheap meta exploitation movies and pornstars in movies. Both been done to death.
