Nice.
I lived adjacent to the Seigfried Line.
Endless hucks to flat off pillboxes.
Check out the Huertgen Forest area too. There's a 12km trail following the Line that's littered with historic deathtraps. Lots of local museums too.
Also, go to Bastogne area. Lots to see and great riding.

Front Range, dude...
Walked the Huertgenwald a year or so ago. Whyinthefvck our generals had to fight though that area is beyond me. Worst strategic decision in the theater.

Nice pics N8...we need to ride before I split.

Kind of remind you of Bastogne?
GEORGE LUZ
Yeah, now that you mention it. Except, of course, there's no snow, we got warm grub in our bellies, and the trees aren't ****ing exploding from Kraut artillery, but yeah... Frank... other than that, it's a lot like Bastogne.

This past weekend we visited a brewery in the 700 year old town of Miltenberg on the River Main.

I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend visiting Miltenberg and Faust Brewery where they have been brewing beer since the mid 1600's.

We stayed in the hotel with the red trim. It dates from the mid 1500's, no biggie since the house we live in dates to 1463. :D

We had dinner here at Haus zum Riesen which is one of the oldest restaurants in Europe.

Faust souvenirs (their Eisbock has taken back to back World Beer Cup wins for best dopplebock):

Today is my first anniv of living in Germany - thus far we've been to Austria, Belgium, France and the Netherlands.

Looking forward to seeing Italy again, and visiting the UK and Ireland and Croatia.

Have fun N8, Normandy is amazing.
I pissed off some locals on our visit when my two shepherds stormed out of a bunker we were exploring.
Didn't help that I was lining them up with my tree limb mg42 imagining the lines of fire.
Fvck those surrender monkeys, anyway.

It's all a pretty powerful place.
Seek out a german cemetery during your travels; interesting contrast.
We had family on both sides of the invasion which made for an eclectic itinerary.

Cool! Lemme know when you roll around town... Little Anita's moved, but only like a block from where they used to be.

And while I agree with your sentiment, I doubt that you're going to get your housing-bubble wish any time soon. Which is OK with me, being a current homeowner. :)

It's a fvcking bubble market a'la Las Vegas in 2007/8... It's certainly going to burst at some point because that rate of appreciation isn't sustainable.

The $1M question is when.
