the plan was to this tough route, about 115km, with 7 serious climbs, so the day we plan for it was probably the windiest day ever. (riding on the flat in a group of about 15 riders at like 20-23 kph !!)

anyways, it was brutal, ended up 116km's and 5h08 mins pedaling. crazy, the last climb I was just able to keep the pedals turning at about 7km per hour !

I like wind when I'm not on an out and back and it's behind me...

there's one thing suffering into a head wind, another descending at speed and getting blown all over the place.

I must have a fear of asphalt, we ride with these guys who make me look like I'm standing still when descending on the road, but when we're on our mtb's, where there's rocks, roots, trees etc. I can just go for it.

dirt is softer than tarmac tho.
