one of the Aussie juniors had one on at the open. i thought it looked more like a life vest than anything else. I'm still of the opinion that wearing a roost guard for downhill is silly,especially given all the dh specific gear available these days.

yeah, thats what i saw. I was almost positive that it said "Ogio" on it but i am pretty sure that that is just a bag company. Those life vest things look a but more protective than your standard roost guard. definetly a lot more padding. I dunno about that EVS one, im pretty sure that it had some hard plastic **** over it.

nah, im looking for light impact protection. I'll probably just settle for a core saver.

thanks thats exactly what I was looking for. A bit more expensive than I had anticipated, but after reading that article a lot cooler than I had anticipated. I wonder if anyone has ever popped one on a rock or something.
