I've ridden BMX and trials for the last 5 years and there beginning to get boring, and since im about to go to uni where apparently most people dirt jump and mountain bike. So this is my chance to get a jump bike. i've had a look around and i've been looking at the DMR droin reptoid 24inch, and the revell dxs. I would appreciate some help as to which ones better or other bikes that you would recommend. my price range is about £500, needs to be 24", have suspension.

See if you can find an NS suburban 24, or an NS Capital.

I think you don't need a new bike to stop from getting bored.
And you don't need a new bike to fit in a riding community.
Your best bet is to ride with some new people to get inspired.
