I think I am about to buy a GT Lobo FS frame to replace my Rockhopper. The guy I am buying from says that I can't run a front derailleur unless I buy another part for the BB. Do you guys know anything about this? I'd like to see if it is worth buying the part, or should I run a single chain ring up front and not worry about it? Any help would be great. I'm new to this full suspension thing and have no idea what I'm doing. Thanks

I think the front just might run an e-type derailleur. (the one that torques into the bb)... If that's true, it's not really an extra part, you just need an e-type der. at any rate, you can always just run one of those anyway. from the pic of the frame i saw that looks like the best option

Do you think I would be better off running a single ring up front, since I only use my 2nd ring now? I never switch chain rings in the front. I'm thinking that I might not have to worry about the special BB. I am usually wrong though
