My current setup is a dback coil-ex w/a shock out of a big hit spec in the rear. It's quite the western engineered bike. With the longer rear shock the rear is higher than the front, so i'm looking for a new fork for it. I will be getting an x2 at the end of the summer hopefully, so i'm looking for a shock wiht about 6" of travel that will fit my dback and the x2 when i get it. Thanks.

Do you want a dual crown or a single crown? Are you doing any climbing on it?

A Marzocchi Z150 might do well for ya. Burly, lotta travel, but it might be the end of your frame. A coiler ain't exactly burly. Putting a longer fork is gonna make your BB sky high too, the handling will be 'tippy'

Get a new frame as soon as you can and put franken-bike out to pasture ;)

Will a dual or single really make much of a difference? If by climbing you mean riding up hill.....no...i just to downhill and a bit of urban playing. Also if you couldn't tell, i'm quite broke, so cheap is good.
