im looking to buy a new crank for mostly light freeride and i was wondering if you guys have any suggestions, i dont want anything to pricey and also single speed.

Looks like the days of inexpensive Saints are over, so here ya go.
The Hones are really quite nice. Go for the one with two rings and a bash. Then replace the little ring with an inner bash and you are all set.
What size BB shell do you have?
deity, bombproof and 195msrp
really likin the fsa's any opinions on those, i also like the price
i second the Hones, but i took the bash off and replaced it with the E13 because i didn't like how weak the stock bash is. The hones are great though.
Once again what size botom bracket do you have?
i have FSA Gaps, and they're really great cranks. the bb is still rolling smooth and i've had the bike for about a year and a half. the cranks are stiff, i just wish they were lighter. my next set of cranks for my next DH/FR bike will be FSA Gravity Lite MegaExos or Shimano Hones. Deity cranks are amazingly strong and stiff, i have them on my DJ bike, but i just like the weight savings and look of aluminum cranks on my big bike.

I bought a set of LX cranks and love them. I replaced an older set of XT cranks with out external bottom brackets.

that's right chip tooth, add a titanium spindle for ultra swankness.
I like my FSA Gaps, but I did have to replace the bearings after about a year. No biggie though, they aren't expensive at all.
