300lbs of Boxxer crushing power........;)

I don't know much about any current non-boxxer RS forks. I do have a Judy TT 100mm that came on a cheap HT I bought. It has performed as well as can be expected from a nondamped fork. Actually not bad really even for me. If I get going really fast XC I tax the fork but for bopping around the woods, it has held up and done right by me.

Besides that Judy TT doesn't have oil to seal. ;)

I have been on Boxxers for 4 years. 3 Models, '98/'00/'03.....my favorite was my 2000 model....butt'a.

I think the new boxxers LOOK great and I wouldn't mind having one on my ride... (when it's sitting in the garage) :D Seriously though, I do like them but I just wish they came in white like this one... mmm

LOVE that fork. Have it set at 100mm on my NRS right now, which is a bit higher than I usually run it, but it just eats everything in it's way. I have the Dual-Air one, not U-Turn, but the U-Turn is pretty sweet on an air fork!

OK -don't want to sound like a hater-i know lots of dudes like their Boxxers and that's great.
New Boxxer gets a bunch of great changes, but the 2 that needed it most got left behind! Still has XXX seals and HC2 damper. :nopity: :mumble:
OOh Ti springs!!!Yummy!
8" and low looking crowns too!
That's OK though, when Push gets caught up fixing everyone elses problems the RS forks will get seals and damper(s).
Then we could have light big cool forks! Yay. :D
Boxxer Ride-light travel,adjust,potential FR goodness.
Pike looks like it had potential too.
OK i'm done.

Hmm... No Pro-Deluxe listed on the website.

Interesting. What a P.O.S. rear shock - wonder if they did away with it entirely?

Great minds think alike!

I think the only reason I'm getting the WC is because of the ti springs because ti springs are cool. :p

I must agree...the Pro-Deluxe shock I had on my DHi was a total POS.

I second that... blew my Pro-Dip**** shock and didn't get it back 'till 2 months later........ and two bikes later..... :mumble:

I am glad to hear that the rear shock seems to be out of the picture for RS. IMO, they should focus on improving their front shocks. Isn't RS introducing the U-turn travel adjustment on their Boxxer line of forks?

I thought I read that somewhere... maybe I'm wrong.

WC to be available this fall.. :thumb:

I'm still not sold on the 8" - it will be a full 1" taller and I currently dig the 7" on my DHR. I could always take my bottom Cane Creek headset out and use an E13 Zero Stack cup, but it would still be higher.

No

Why would you think that? I am a cheap bastard. :) I don't replace what works...generally. :)

You asked that before in another thread and I thought I responded with a "no"

What started that rumor?

Yeah, I'm a little skeptical of putting 8" up front because the 7" feels pretty good. At least it means less scrapes on the lower rockers on my Giant :thumb:

I think the 888 is a nice fork, however......

The aftermarket crowns would be a must for me. Simply for the fact that I would not need the fork to be so high and if I could get them lower than that would be worth it to have a bike that steers alright.

I like the 888 it is just I don't need a new fork right now. Boxxers have treated me very well over the years.

Maybe I mentioned I was thinking about it...heck thinking is cheap....window shopping/day dreaming.....but I am not up for replacing my current stuff without reason.

Did I hear you tried one and gave up on it and whent back to your Boxxer?

in a single wide, cooking meth...
Acadian and Rhino: What are you guys running? WC's or Teams? Black boxed, no? I have an '03 Race and it's actually been a very solid fork even with DH racing, erbon, and some FR silliness...It's pretty much worn out now though (seems that even with a new rebound cartridge, seals, & upgraded base valve, it still wouldn't seal up and force oil into the port - thus, no damping...But with my totally ghetto fix with some latex glove fingers and rubber bands, I'm back in business - although I'm guessing this won't last too long)...On a side note, why did I bother with parantheses on that last collection of run on sentences?

Anyway, I'm looking at getting a new DH fork, so I'm just curious how you guys like your RS stuff...

Btw, Acad, I officially hate you now after learning you ride a DHR...You're the devil

Do the right thing and give me your bike...You'll feel better, I promise...

Yes, you should definitely get another boxxer. You may even get a season of use out of it.

Boxxer's little bro? Just finished mounting the Pike, if this fork holds up and is reliable, Im gonna really like it! Havent yet hit the dirt, only a few headers on some curbs, but it sure is plush, and the compression settings (locked/unlocked) feel great.

Nobody even takes your criticism seriously anymore. It's gotten to the point where you've destroyed your own credibility because you just bitch too much about Boxxers (and correct me if I'm wrong, but you owned a Race anyway). Just shut the hell up.

Ok, since you asked (but you asked me to shut up too, so you must be confused), I had a boxxer team after I upgraded the race. And a boxxer Pro.

jackalope,

I am running the cheapy '03 Race. My 2000 was my favorite of the three Boxxers I owned. My Race is stock except spings (duh! :)) and new oil (stock wieght MX oil) and bottom out bumpers. almost 2 full seasons and no leaks on the Race....and one wiper replacements on my 2000 over the last 4 years of DHing

That doesn't change the fact that your criticism is getting old and useless. As DW wrote last week get over it and move on.
