For some reason, about 3/4ths through the vid, it says there is an error and closes the video saying its gonna send an error report?

i got the same thing.. restart the vid , hit pause and just grab the slider bar thingy and move it just past where you got the error. it will finish.

Both versions I DL'ed do the same thing. Pause QT a few seconds before it happens and drag the time indicator a few seconds past and click play.
