Just to derail this thread a little further, check out this pic of Lions rookie freak of nature Calvin Johnson (6'5"; 239 lbs; 4.3 40; insane hands). FYI, the guy hanging off his back is 5'11" and 200 lbs. Think CJ might have a good season?

Wasn't he tackled immediately after making the catch? It's not as if the DB (LB?) could make contact before he made the catch.

Perhaps he will avoid the freshman wall, but I'm more concerned about the r00k's route running and adjustments.

Bengals running back Kenny Irons suffered a torn ACL in Thursday's preseason opener and will miss the entire 2007 season. The team said in a news release Friday they expect Irons to make a full recovery and be ready for next spring's workouts.
