I can almost smell the dust.
Can't wait!
I'm building a DH bike Noah!
Still need:
Bar
Stem
Post
Wheels
Tires
Brakes
Cranks
Guide

But I've got a frame, rear derailleur and shifter!
I actually might have some wheels, depending on the spacing of the rear end on the frame...
Oh, and I have pedals too. w00t!

You need to get up there with a blow dryer and a very long extension cord.
sorry... but i'm one of those people who hopes we get a couple more big dumps before the season fizzles out. especially since i can play in the snow one day and then drive down to the valley and pedal around the next.

but come May I'll be ready to put the boards away....

Thanks dude, but I should be pretty good. We still have a bunch of Easton stuff around here, so I should be good on cockpit. I have those old Myles "Le System" wheels that the team mechanic gave me a while back, I think they'll fit the rear end of the frame.
That, and I'll just beg for some favors from some people...:)

I'm happy that they're opening. But how come two of the five races conflict with other well known nor-cal downhill races?
cccx and chdh

Well.... i would choose CHDH over N* because its super local, and will be an AWSOME COURSE !!!! ..... But CCCX...? I;d take N* over CCCX any day.

Biscut, think i could grab a ride from you to any of the N* races?????? I;ll pay for gas money :lighten:

SOOOOO happy N* is back, my friend bought a house 5 mins from N*. BOYAW. Whole weeks in tahoe are in my future, I hope.

NORCAL is the hizzle
"... LiveWire, Northstar Resort’s first signature trail is scheduled to open mid-summer, permits pending, and will maintain an average of six feet in width, feature a grade ranging between 6 and 9 percent, and will be 1.5 miles long. The trail boasts tabletops and large berms throughout the course of the run, and will be the first fully irrigated mountain bike trail at the resort, helping to prevent dust clouds from erupting as riders make their way down."

Well hello there! This sounds very promising...fully irrigated and all, allright!!! I am also hopeful that the new lifts will make the entire mountain more usable. The dirt on the lower part seems so much better for building jumps and other fun stuff, but I've always stayed onthe upper half 'cus it would take half a day to get there from the bottom.

I was wondering why their park-specific konas were called livewires!

Who wants to take bets on how fast livewire will blow away? But really, I'm looking forward to this. If they keep the dirt happy, I'm sure they'll keep the riders happy. I wonder how big these tables will be?

I cant wait for this. My buddy has a cabin on the mountain and it made me really sad that we could not use it all last summer.

The bike park sounds like its going to be really awesome. I just hope they keep it well maintained.
