The winter studded tires have been removed.
Isn't that the same fork that you broke the spring in last year?I have been saying I need to get my Road Bike out and start using that to commute again. but I have just been too Lazy . well last night pushed it over the edge.
Since I was riding my Hard tail I took a dirt trail for part of my Commute. abnd As I enter that trail I have to ride through a Gully , couple big bumps really , well, as I Am trying to ride through it I get bucked off the bike , No big issue happens from time to time. well I'm riding along and I notice My fork is now bottomed out. won't come back up. I stop and Pull it free, but didn't make much difference, what was a Rock Shox Pyslo with 120MM of travel now has about 10 MM of travel. That shock has had the crap beat out of it . time to change it out for something else to take the abuse of road salt.
Yes, but that was 2 years ago ( almost to the day )Isn't that the same fork that you broke the spring in last year?
I have no concept of time.Yes, but that was 2 years ago ( almost to the day )
I dress for colder temps and ride no handed as I shed layers! We have a shower at work too. This is my first spring riding to work how do you seasoned commuters deal with the temp change that happens this time of year? Do you strip layers off (hard for me to do because I don't like stopping), dress for the warmer temps and deal with the chill, or do you dress for the colder temps and wash up at work?
I'm guessing not many do the last option since that's what I ended up doing today and I don't feel fresh at all.
Try a Schwalbe Big Apple? This has probably been covered, but I keep getting errors while trying to search. Any suggestions for commuter tires on a MTB? Looking to get a cheap wheelset and throw some more pedaling friendly and cheaper tires on for commuting to work.
Same here!I wore shorts TO work for the first time since.....I don't know....September.....October?
Text, drink coffee, put new DVD into player, put on makeup, "oh look a bike with a trailer", text, shove donught down throat, make phone call, type up memo on laptop, text.............Good luck ire. I would think people would be extra cautious around a bike trailer.
You left off: ride the a** of person in front of you in an attempt to make them go faster. Our lights downtown are on a timer and I'm always amazed at the people who floor it from stop light to stop light. If you do the speed limit you can glide through each of the lights, but they insist on flooring it and then slamming the brake on for each stop lightText, drink coffee, put new DVD into player, put on makeup, "oh look a bike with a trailer", text, shove donught down throat, make phone call, type up memo on laptop, text.............
Started a new job yesterday and have once again resumed commuting after a layoff of about 18 months (commuting...not riding in general).
Instead of my 35 mile roundtrip, this one is only about 24...still a good spin though.
B-E-A-utiful morning out here too...yay!
The bike ride in and back is the best part of it! Ha!Awesome! Hope you like the new job! The weather has finally taken a turn for the better here as well. Sunny and 75 today...stoked!
Just shy of a solid month so far, car-free.
Just got back from my bakery job - some moron cut me off in an SUV. I know she saw me too.
Also had a freakin bee smack me in the mouth on the way there - tried to spit it out, it stung the inside of my bottom lip. That didn't feel awesome.
It's been a little over a month of commuting with Hailey! It's been great bonding time and I leave early so we can play while we walk over to day care. She has a lot of fun everyday. Here is a photo of Hailey in the parking garage.
Yeah - my friend laughed the whole day when I finally got there. Still kind of hurts. At least I got the stinger out right away.
Last summer I got stun on three separate occasions while riding. One time a bee hit my glasses (thankfully I had them on), slid down to my cheek and stun me. It hurt like hell and sweat got in it right away Still....inside of the mouth sounds worse!
It rains too much up here on my commute to worry about bees....Yeah - my friend laughed the whole day when I finally got there. Still kind of hurts. At least I got the stinger out right away.
Last year I had one fly into a vent on my helmet. Before I could get it off, stung me on the head (shaved head).
Hey, all part of riding a bike, right!
First time for me in over a year this AM...Started a new job yesterday and have once again resumed commuting after a layoff of about 18 months (commuting...not riding in general).
Instead of my 35 mile roundtrip, this one is only about 24...still a good spin though.
B-E-A-utiful morning out here too...yay!
My best man lives there...just look for the drunk Canadian guy.Stockholm...
Maybe a protein shake? My best man lives there...just look for the drunk Canadian guy.
Commute in was excellent this am. Has anyone figured out how to have a bite before waking up so you're not halfway full while pedaling and not halfway starved at the same time?
