Ok I want to run a lower profile front chain ring on my new bike, but I like my gear ratio thats on my other bike, so I decided to get a smaller rear cog. I'll be running a 12:26 gear ratio.

Now heres the problem, I have heard that you need lower profile spacers when you run a 12 tooth cog because the chain hits them, is this true?

That kinda makes sense, but I haven't seen spacers like that or have any idea where to find them. I think you will be fine with a standard spacer kit, but you have considered that going with a 12th in the rear gives you less chain wrap around that cog, which is less than ideal.
