For these types of cranks ie the on-one reetards or the profile cranks can you run multiple gears? I guess im mainly just confused how you would go about attaching more than one front gear. In my mind i see them as a bmx crank where you bolt a single large ring to the crank? Can you simply attach a spider to the crank and say run a two ring/bash ring combo?

For the Profiles you just need the MTB spider.

pretty sure. i have a spider on mine with a single ring but im sure you could run 3 or 2 or whatever you wanna do

You need the crank spider as already stated and the proper spacers to run 3 chain rings. However, getting everything working well and spaced correctly is pretty tricky. I would suggest regular cranks if you plan on running a double or tipple setup.
