i ride mostly downhill and im 5'10 5'11 ish. would a fifteen inch orange 224 be to small for me?
224 only comes in two sizes 15" regular and 17" large, unless you are well over 6ft tall there is no need to go with a large.
A 15" frame will be fine for you.

I'm about 5 11 or 6 ft, and i ride the 17, and wouldn't want it any other way. It is a very long bike, but you get used to that and i prefer it now. At your height I would consider you to be kind of in between the sizes, it would just come down to your personal preferance really.

I'm 6' and a half inch , riding a 17". I've ridden 15"ers and they're just a shade short for me. Actually I'd prefer a 16" if they made one.

My mates have named my bike Long Donkey. Fair enough too.

At your height I'd go for a 15" but try before you buy if possible.
