I hope they're paying Ortiz a pile of money. That's the second time in a couple weeks that all has been lost for the Sox and he came through.

well mueller did a very nice job blocking the bag w/ his foot. williams actually did beat the throw, but never touched the bag because it was blocked. but you are right, millar, damon, etc...they need to get sparks flying.

Saw it last night, great game... had to crash before it was over but I checked SI.com when I came in to work this AM. I was glad they pulled it out, but I think NY is the better team and will probably take them in the next game. Methinks its gonna be NY vs Houston. I'll be pullin' for Houston, its my old Home town, bask when they were wearing the Orange and White, in the days of Nolan Ryan

In all honesty......the Boston Bruins will probably win a World Series before the Red Sox. But I can hope. Heck, if the Sox are able to beat their curse, perhaps the Giants can someday beat theirs.
