Work truck was flat then the day was pretty easy, not being itchy from fibreglass for the weekend is nice.

When the socket head cap screw doesn't fit the new part the site lathe comes out to play.

Coffee'ing at work, in the city. Had to come here because me asking someone to do something results in blank stares.

Two hawks spotted on the way to work. The one looked like a Coopers Hawk, as it looked like it was wearing a helmet? But I guess those aren't found here in the winter, so perhaps a Sharp Shinned Hawk? Though it was pretty big and had a large flat head.

Morning Monkeys.

FTS Friday and I am supposed to get a release candidate build by the end of this week. Considering it's Friday and I still can't install the help files for Visual Studio, I think we are at least one or two check ins away from a candidate. But I am only the quality engineer, I'm no expert. :panic:

Fighting thru an intestinal storm atm...speaking of storms, how did @Gary get thru the assault from the shield maiden of Rohan?

I am no man!
Meh... Slept through most of it so far... think gusts hit 90mph here around 2am. But I grew up 20 miles away on the coast in one of the windiest areas in the UK anyway so pretty unphased by most storms. and just use common sense when travelling

MOAR importantly... What's with the weird alien symbols on this thread header and URL?

I see birds of prey around here all the time. As a pre-teen. Through a friend, our School headmaster and a local policeman I got really into bird spotting. Like getting up early on a Sunday morning to go places with binoculars, a shelter and a book/journal to document the rarer breeds. And we did spot some very rare ones. A weird AF phase of my life which lasted about a year until I lost interest and subsequently forgot the names and how to recognise pretty much every single bird I'd learned about. Even some of the super common ones I'd known all my life. eg. I no longer even know the difference between a crow, rook or blackbird. I do think about taking pics of the rarer ones I see when out, especially the obvious birds of prey and later look up what they are but never ever even take the pic nevermind the rest. Owls are the only ones I do recognise. for obvious reason nothing else looks like an owl

Ironically. back then my waining interest in birds switched to girls. And to this day I'm exactly the same with recognition and remembering their names once I've lost interest.

I broke down and bought 2 new batteries for my cordless tools. I've had these Porter Cable 20v for like 8 maybe 10 years and I couldn't drill the hole in the aluminum floor of Frita with 2 batteries.

The new ones are 2Ah vs the 1.5Ah originals. I could have gotten the big ass 5Ah but they make the drill awkward.

Went to setup an "experiment" that is being transferred to a new location. Supposedly a 3 phase system. I am pretty particular about checking new power connections as I was almost killed after an electrician swapped a 480V and ground wire. I was scratching my head when I didn't have voltage on one leg. Turns out the system was previously connected to 3 phase using a single phase dryer cord.

Currently stirring up shit over all the bullshit corner cutting I constantly find.

I aint no eletrical dude, but if I hear experiment, 3 phase and dryer cord in the same paragraph, I'll just assume its ugly.
