i set my hand on fire a few years back, i got some percoset from the doctor...mmm...it took a while to work but then everything went all wavy and i passed out. oh, and vicodin has worked well for me in the past...although its weaker, 2 of em will get you crunked enough to forget about the pain...oh, but don't take em with liquor, cuz it messes up your liver. I mean, unless you don't care that much...
yeah ive done the whole liquor and percs thing a time or 2, holy sh1t thats got bad news written all over it. suprisingly i didnt puke, dunno how i managed that one.
I've got a procedure to extract the acetaminophen from the vicodins if anyone is interested that any jackass could handle

seriously though, like someone said, cut down on the dose and see what happens. I used to take a couple hydrocodones when I had my wisdom teeth pulled and would get loopy, so much that I couldn't drive.
Last time I broke a bone I took ibuprofen for a couple days, 1200mg over the course of the day, and then tossed those when I built up a tolerance. From then on I iced it and just dealt with whatever pain I had.
